The Vision and Mission of ARFI have since evolved since Sr. Jackie’s time and re-crafted to suit contemporary needs and expressions.

VISION

Men and women, open to the Transcendent, fully integrated, competent, and committed to the task of formation and responsible leadership, in this age and part of the world.

MISSION

The Asian Religious Formation Institute commits itself to providing an environment and an integrative process that are growth-promoting and transformative for formators and persons in the service of authority – whether priests, religious or lay.

KEY OBJECTIVE

The programs are open to directors of formation seeking a deeper understanding of their life and mission and desiring to live a renewal experience to strengthen their commitment to formation.

The ARFI PROCESS

The ARFI approach regards the person as one in a continuous process of becoming, constantly in search for the divine in his/her deepest core, and authentically human in a grace-world. This search involves so much risk and uncertainty. Possibilities for shaping oneself as a subject of human history and as co-redeemer of life abound. Amidst all these, the person stands. S/he falters, wavers, then opts and decides. And the living search continues . The ARFI approach provides such uncertainties and possibilities. It supports the individual in the painful , yet liberating process of growing in faith and freedom.
